Brad Paisely Concert June 14th

If you know me you know I LOVE country music, last saturday Brian and me went to the Brad Paisley concert with Audrey and her Boyfriend Kyle. We tail gaited before hand and then went to the great concert at the verizon ampitheatre in Irvine. I loved it, It was Brian's first country concert and he had a great time too. I am slowy but surely converting him country!! muuuhhaha

Irvine Park Zoo - Saturday June 7th

Brian and I try to have a "family day' for carson each week (usally Saturday) where we take him somewhere fun that is catered to him. This weekend we chose the Irvine Park zoo. Because they have bears their and that seems to be what Carson is in too these days when ever he sees anything that resembles a bear he says "raww" and puts his hands up. (thanks grandma worsham for teaching him that trick!) :)
It was a good day carson got to feed the goats, which at first he wasn't too sure about but then he like it, and finally after we left the zoo and walked around the park and came back the bears came out of napping to eat. So it was great that carson finally got to see the bears. We didn't ride the train at the irvine park because carson freaked out at the whistle, maybe next time.

June Pics

These are some pictures from the beginning of June. At the Spectrum for Brian's mom's bday and at the park after a picnic lunch with Brian and Carson.

more WA trip pics

While Carson and I were home we got to go to Liam's First birthday party. carson went to town on the Pinata. He could not get enough of it. Michelle and Liam met me and Carson at the Park the day we were leaving to say goodbye and play one more time till next time.

It was a really really good trip home and made me really miss living in WA with my family.

More Mariners game pics

It was also JJ Putts bobble head night so here is a pic of Carson playing with one of the bobble heads we got before he passed out in my arms.

More Seattle Fun

AFter the woodland park zoo we at our favorite restaurant in Seattle called the Crab Pot. See CArson enjoying the crabs?
Then the next day we went to another zoo called Northwest trek which is closer to my parents house and is also fun you get to ride a tram through a huge park and see all the northwestern animals, bison, buffalo, mountain goats, deer, etc.. It was great though because we got to see all the baby animals up close that day. The tram driver said it was the best ride she has ever taken and that we were lucky to see all the baby animals.
Of course Grandma bought carson some new books while we were in WA as you see she is reading him one.
I also got to see my High School friends, Brooke and Michelle and their babies Ava and Liam.
Then my family (minus John) went to a Mariners game against the Padres. I took Carson in the playground they have at Safeco field, my mom laughed at me as I climbed through each tiny section to get carson up to the slide, it was like the Mcdonalds playlands if you are familiar with how they make you climb up to the slide.

It was a good time and of course my dad spoiled us with seats right behind first base!!

The Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle with Grams and Gramps

While we were visiting my parents took me and Carson to the Woodland Park zoo, none of us had ever been. This park is AMAZING hands down THE BEST zoo I have ever been too. It is beautiful and all the animals rome around in very natural habitats you dont have to look through small cages to see them or sit in a tram. It is very beautiful, the funniest part of the day was seeing this orangatang literally hide under a cardboard box. So funny. I usually dont post not people pics but I thought others would appreciate this!

It was such a great day, and of course carson spent most of it either on Grandpa's shoulders or running around by him. Grandpa was very happy to have his grandson back, so was grandma. But grandpa didn't mind holding carson the whole entire day!

May 12th Visit with my fam in WA at our Park

On May 12th I flew in to WA with Carson to visit my parents and family. Both my mom and dad were so excited to see Carson (and me, but mostly carson) that they both took an entire week off work so they can spend time with him (i mean us).
the first thing they did after picking us up from the airport before arriving home was take Carson and I to the beautiful park behind their house. Its brand new, I wrote about it in a previous post, and how I used to take Carson their but he was too little to do anything but the swings. As you can see in the pics not the case anymore he was charging up the big toy and going down every slide even the big ones by himself and showing off for Grandma and Grandpa!

Will Parris' Photo Shoot

Will Parris A friend of mine is an excellent photographer and did a family shoot for Brian and I back in April (I think) anyways I am FINAllY getting around to posting them.

http://parris-studios.com

Visit his webstie if you are interested in having him do your next family photos,
he also does weddings, and engagement pics. You will see much more of his talent when you visit his website.

Thanks Will!
The only bummer thing about this shoot is carson was super cranky and had just woken from a nap and it was like 90 degrees at the park that day so he wasn't willing to give us any smiles. :( But will was still able to get some great shots and here are a few of my favorites :)
He has a few more on his blog:

Mother's Day/ Carson's Baby dedication- May 11th

On mothers day, we dedicated Carson at University Praise's Baby Dedication. My friend Julie came just to see carson get dedicated, and for some reason that was the only pic I took on mothers day, I dont know why? Will Parris took professional mothersday family shots for everyone at UP that day so when I get that back I will post it. But this was a great day and I am glad that Brian and I finally got to dedicate our so Carson to the Lord. It is so amazing to me to see how much having a baby really makes you see how much more important it is to model christlikeness in your everyday life. Especially now that Carson is a toddler he is a little mimicing machine he will copy what ever you do. It wont be long before he will be copying everything we say as well. I am a firm believer that actions speak much louder than words. I want to make sure my actions model my love for Christ much more so than my words. Brian as well now that we have Carson has been so much more driven in his faith to model that to Carson. I am excited to see him grow up and to discover how much our Heavenly Father loves us and how much he has instore for Carson.

We dedicated Carson to the verse Proverbs 3:3-6 Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.
Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Brian and I both have lived and know the truthfullness of this verse. God has an amazing plan for everyones life and all we have to do is trust him and not lean on what makes sense to us, (obviously alot easier said then done) that is where prayer and trust and faith and more prayer come in!

Sarah and Jude's Shower- May 10th 2008

Jessica threw a really great couples shower for Sarah and Jude and their baby on the way (at the time). It was my first couples shower. I told Jude that he did a good job opening presents in front of people and gave good reactions. I feel like that's the most awkward thing about showers, is having to open the gifts and act like you love everything equally. It was a good time though the food was good, the company was good, and there was no cheesy games. here are a few pics of that event.

Stage Coach- May 4th?

In the Beginning of May I went to the Stage coach concert here are a few pics from that. It was a 3 day concert with all country bands. I only went to sunday's show with my best friend Lindsay and Austin and Linda. We got to see Toby kieth (love him!) gretchen wilson, big n rich, tim mc graw, and most importantly Carrie Underwood! She is fabulous in concert!
