poo poo in the potty!! hurray!

I have been working with Carson for a while now to go poo poo in the potty. However he will say " Carson go poo poo" after the poo in already in the diaper... so I say "Carson tell mommy when you have to go poo before you go then you get to go on the big boy potty!!" So today he told me he had to go poo poo, so i said "lets go lets go" and I took his diaper off and there was a little bit of poop in it, but I could tell he still had to go so I kneeled down next to him while he was on the potty and he says, "mommy go away" so I said okay, i went in the next room to give him "privacy" and he pooped all by himself I was so proud of him! here is the video of the after math of this great event. I made such a big deal about his poo poo in the potty that when I said "okay lets flush the poo down the toilet now" he stook his hands out to block me from picking up the potty bowl and said "no, my poo poo" He was so proud he didn't want to throw it out.. LOL..
Later when we went to pick up Uncle John to go to the Angels game he told me he had to poop and this time no poop was already in his diaper and he pooped! in the big toilet at Uncle Johns apartment! all by himself. I am so proud of him.

He has been peeing in the potty too, both sitting down and standing up he says "go pee like daddy" I had to explain to him that boys only go PEE standing up they dont poop standing up.

My baby is growing up so fast.

Last night I took one side of carson's crib off so now he has a big kid bed with no "cage" I put pillows next to it. He was excited for his own bed. But at 3AM he woke up crying next to the crib/bed on top of the pillows because he had rolled off, so he ended up back in my bed.

April to May catch up!

Wow it has been a while since i have blogged, mostly because I have been bogged down by all my methods course work for my teaching credential and subbing . But thankfully I officially finished my last two teaching credential methods courses!! now all I have left to do is my 16 weeks of student teaching, pass my RICA test, and take a US history test and then by October 22nd I will have my teaching credential!!

Too catch you up on the wacky world of Worsham... in April, we attended a few Angel Games, Brian bought an 18 pack so we have been going to that quite a bit. I also took Carson one Wednesday morning to a special toddler class at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long beach, he got to touch and feel all kinds of sea creatures, be in a parade and have a private teacher learning about shapes in the sea, it was a lot of fun.

one of my best friend's Kelly just got engaged, and her fiancee' invited all of her girlfriends to Temecula winery to be their to celebrate after he popped the question,

My childhood dreams came true and I got to go see the Britney Spears concert at he Honda Center with my girlfriends ;) So fun.

Emily turned 2, and her teddy bear picnic was a blast.

WE had a great Easter, Carson dyed Easter eggs with Emily and we had the first Annual "Jesus has Risen Easter Egg Hunt" with all of Carson's little friends. It was so fun. Carson kept taking Emily's eggs and then EMily would find eggs and put them in Carson's basket.

We celebrated Easter at Brian's Aunt Maralyn's house and so the "easter Bunny" hid eggs at Nate and lindsay's (wear we stayed) Carson was much more excited about the egg hunt this year then last.

My friend Nicole got married and Brian and I got to got to that wedding it was a lot of fun, with a lot of dancing :)

I took Carson miniature golfing for the first time, and he loved it for about the first 4-5 holes he was determined to put that ball in the whole, then he was over it and more interested in the holes where the ball went into one whole and came out on another green some where else, and he was VERY confused why the last hole did not give you the ball back.. see the picture of him by the locked door?? he kept asking me, "mommy where ball go?" "mommy where da ball go?" to which I replied, "the castle ate it."

I am so excited to start my student teaching and that I am almost done getting my credential, I actually really enjoyed all my methods courses and learned a lot, that has made me a better substitute teacher, The last few weeks I have subbed everyday carson has been at Grandpa Maurers, and I dont know if my students are getting better, if I am becoming a better teacher, I finally figured out how to start the day strong and strict lay out clear expectations and consequences, manage the classroom, and stay nice and calm through out the day, and not have to be a mean teacher! My goal if for my students (to learn obviously) But I cant wait for the day when I have subbed so much that they can repeat my three rules back to me,...

1. Make wise choices
2. Treat others the way you want to be treated,
3. Listen to the teacher the first time.

Number 1 and 2 I stole from the 252 basics bible curriculum i used as the elementary director at UP. But these were their 3 basic truths they wanted each kids to learn, the 3rd mission of that curriculum is "trust God no matter what" which unfortunately I can not say in a public school. I just have to demonstrate Christ in my actions :)

I am looking forward to my future and where God is taking me, I have learned that I am just hanging on for the ride and that he is in control, I cant believe how quickly my baby Carson is growing up. Each day I just do the best I can with what i have and try to be the best mom I can. :)

Briana and Greg's Wedding in AZ

Carson and I drove out to Phoenix, Arizona the first weekend of this month, to be in our friend Briana's (an old college roomate) wedding. Carson's first wedding, he made one handsome ring bearer! He was sick with a sinus infection all weekend, but thankfully one of the other bridesmaids was an RN and was able to diagnose him and perscribe him some meds :) He was a champ and a big hit at the wedding :). Thank goodness my friend Linzi Sharpling (who was also a bridesmaid and made the 6 1/2 hour drive with me and carson) was their with me all weekend to help take care of Carson :) We had some great times together getting ready for the wedding. Trying to calm Down Briana when her zipper to her wedding DRESS broke 1 hr before the ceramony!!! and Jumping in a hot tub in our bridesmaids dresses at the end of the night at our hotel ;) Thank you Linzi for all your help and patience with Carson! Briana was a beautiful Bride and held her composure through out the mayhems of the day! ;) It was a fun Cowboy reception, Briana taught 3 line dances and the whole party was on the dance floor dancing to the good old country jams ;) Carson got down with the Flower girl and spun her around too. We got to hang out with our friends from AZ Jason and Liz Schafer, Liz is the one who introduced Brian and I! It was a great weekend besides the drama and the sick baby :)

Lots of fun in February....

Big Bear Trip: 2/6-2/8 Brian and I got to go snowboarding on The 6th and while his parents took Carson up to the cabin, Carson went tubbing in the snow with his Aunt Lori and Uncle Eric, Grandma and Grandpa maurer and cousins then Brian and I met up with them after our day of snowboarding. It was a great weeked with family and lots of snow! luckily we went home the back way and didn't have to get chains. Carson loved playing in the snow and having snowball fights with his cousins. We also got to go to the Village and that was alot of fun.

2/10-2/15Trip to visit carson great grandpa and grandma Worsham in Florida

Just after getting back from the mountains we packed up again and Brian and Carson and I flew the long hours to get to Orlando Florida to visit my granparents who now live with my cousin Kim. Carson the whole way from the airport to Kim's house kept saying "going to see big papa" that's his name for great Grandpa. Carson and Brian and I had a great time visiting with my grandma and grandpa and my cousin Kim. Kim has a beautiful house with a great big pool Carson and I got to play in. And Brian and I got to go out to a Orlando Magic game one of the nights we scalped some great seats! Thursday Brian and Carson and I got to go to Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom, we saw two great shows there: The lion King, and Finding Nemo the musical and Carson got to see A lot of animals. He loves animals so it was the perfect place for him. This was his birthday present from us to him :) For Valentines day I made everyone (grandma and grandpa, brian and kim) Heart shaped egg in a frame breakfast with bacon and potatoes. That night we all had steak and scallop dinner and watched the Notebook (the greatest love story ever!) with my grandparents and kim.


Febrary 17: Carson turned 2!!


February 19: My mom flew in for the weekend birthday party festivities February 21st: Carson's sports themed 2nd birthday party with over 40 people in attendance :)Thank you to everyone who came and extra thanks to those that came dresed in their team gear! I feel very loved and am thankful that our friends love us an our son so much to drive as far as from Las Vegas and Camarillo to come be apart of Carson's 2nd birthday!

Needless to say this has been a very busy month of traveling and birthday party planning. I cannot believe my baby is already 2 years old! Between keeping up with him and my masters courses I have been pretty busy I will try to keep post more than once next month! ;) this weekend carson and I are in Briana Rossenbach (my college roomate's) wedding in Phoenix AZ. I cant wait to see carson all dressed up in his tux I will definatley post pictures of that event! ;)

Miss America Pageant 2009 ...

Tonight was the 2nd annual "miss America Pageant Party" hosted by none other than Jessica Parris. Everyone came in their finest evening gowns and we had a formal draft of who we thought would win the pageant, as well as who we thought would be in the top 15, top 8, top 5, and winner, runner ups. Jessica's pick Miss Indiana won. However that is just where the competition began, Jessica also held individual competitions for best dressed, Most talented, most photogenic and best hair. Most talented was won by yours truly for my beautiful rendition of "somewhere over the rainbow." that moved everyone in attendance to tears.. (they may have been tears of laughter, but that is not important).

It was a great night with great people, Thanks Jess for throwing an amazing party :)
